It became known how much Ukraine is losing due to idling vessels in the Bosphorus

Losses of Ukraine and farmers due to idling ships being delayed in the queues of the “grain corridor” as a result of the actions of the Russians reached $1 billion.

The losses suffered by Ukraine due to simple ships in the queues of the “grain corridor” amounted to more than USD 1 billion, the President of the Ukrainian Grain Assosiation (UGA) Mykola Gorbachev said.

According to him, this is money that Ukrainian farmers did not receive, as well as money that traders paid to ship owners for the fact that bulk carriers “idled” in the queue.

Due to the actions of the Russians, the port terminals do not have the opportunity to work rhythmically and at full capacity.

The president of UGA added that the “grain corridor” is an effective channel for the supply of Ukrainian agricultural products abroad.

As part of the Grain Agreement, 50% of all exported agricultural products were sent to customers. The remaining 50% was exported via alternative routes: across the Danube, by rail and by road.

“Stopping the work of the Pivdennyi seaport and excluding it from the work of the “grain corridor” became another victory of the Russian Federation in the bidding that took place as part of the negotiations in Istanbul,” Mykola Gorbachev emphasized.

As previously reported by USM, the stevedores of the largest port of Ukraine, Pivdennyi, appealed to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
