The Black Sea Fleet of Russia is preparing for the blockade of Ukrainian ports. Thus, the Russian Federation is starting to transfer ships to the shipping route between the Bosphorus and Odesa.
Losses of Ukraine and farmers due to simple ships being delayed in the queues of the “grain corridor” as a result of the actions of the Russians reached $1 billion.
The Turkish Coast Guard has temporarily closed the Bosphorus Strait to the passage of ships. The reason is that the dry cargo Ilyas Konan, which was on its way from russia to the Turkish port of Kocaeli, broke down.
The Joint Coordination Center (JCC) resumed inspections of vessels transporting Ukrainian grain within the “grain corridor”.
As part of the “Grain Initiative”, 18 vessels exported 664,000 tons of grain during the week. This is a third less than the volume of exports for the week before last.
One day of downtime for a bulk carrier with Ukrainian grain in the Bosphorus costs more than 20,000 dollars.
A bulk carrier heading from Ukraine ran aground in the Bosphorus. Vessel traffic through the strait was temporarily suspended.
Russia once again exported grain from Sevastopol, probably stolen from the occupied territories of Ukraine.
There are currently 99 vessels awaiting inspection by the Joint Coordination Center (JCC) in the Bosphorus. Some of them have been waiting in Turkish waters for more than a month.
8 out of 24 raw oil tankers have already passed through the Bosphorus, providing Turkey with proof of valid P&I insurance.
