Kuleba met with carriers and exporters in the Odesa region

Minister for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba held meetings with carriers and exporters during a working trip to the Odesa region.

This was reported by the USPA.

“After the Russian strikes on the region’s transport infrastructure, the key task is to maintain the movement of passengers and cargo, the operation of ports, and access to checkpoints. This is what we concluded in a conversation with those who directly provide transportation in southern Ukraine,” said Oleksiy Kuleba.

Another night passed under shelling in the port of Pivdennyi. As a result of the drone attack, warehouses and individual port infrastructure facilities were damaged, and power outages were recorded. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

During the meeting, the work of the ports of the Danube region and alternative logistics routes for carriers and exporters, taking into account the current security conditions, were also considered. Ukrainian seaports continue to operate.

The Sea Ports Administration of Ukraine, together with port operators, businesses, and all involved services, is carrying out an operational response to the consequences of the attacks, while simultaneously working on optimizing processes and restoring the damaged port infrastructure as quickly as possible, the department reported.

Issues of energy supply and restoration of work are being resolved in constant coordination with the relevant services.

Earlier, USM reported that connection across the Dnister River was restored in the Odesa region after Russian shelling.
