Maersk completely closes its business in Russia

Maersk has decided to close down and sell the company’s assets in Russia.

“Implementation of regulations and restrictive measures imposed by foreign governments on Russia, as well as the expected economic turbulence in the country’s economy do not allow us to continue our activities in Russia,” the company said in a letter.

Maersk is suspending new orders to and from Russia for all of its services, including transcontinental rail, ocean and air services.
