Moldova approves implementation of second phase of Giurgiuleşti port pier construction

The Environmental Protection Agency of the Republic of Moldova has approved the completion of the second phase of construction works on the quay, writes the CTS.
This is a quay near the general cargo and container terminal of the Giurgiuleşti international free port.
The first phase of the quay project near the general cargo and container terminal of the port is already operating at full capacity.
The initial port project envisaged that the second phase would add another 70 meters of quay wall to eliminate obstacles to shipping and increase the port’s transshipment capacity.As previously reported by USM, at the end of April, Romania announced a tender for consulting services for the acquisition of the Giurgiuleşti port.
