MSC Shipping’s Logistics Division Acquires Assets in Ukraine

Swiss Medlog SA, which is the logistics division of shipping giant Mediterranean Shipping Company, has acquired assets in Ukraine.

Medlog has acquired shares in N’UNIT and the Mostyska terminal, Forbes reports.

This concerns 50% of the Ukrainian intermodal logistics operator N’UNIT and 25% in the Mostyska cross-border terminal. Forbes estimates the volume of Medlog’s investment at $15-30 million.

Negotiations on the deal lasted about a year. The deal was the first cooperation between the Ukrainian logistics business and a transnational company since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.

Earlier, USM reported that UZ is asking Maersk, CMA CGM, MSC and ACC to stop blocking the indexation of tariffs.
