Navy sailors rescued civilians who were swept into the open sea

The crew of one of the Navy boats rescued five civilians who were swept into the open sea in Odesa.

This was reported to the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the department, representatives of the rescue and diving service of the Odesa City Council appealed to the military for help in rescuing civilians who were swept away by waves into the open sea.

“The crew of one of the boats of the national fleet conducted a search and rescue of people who suffered a disaster on the water. Five civilians were successfully rescued and brought to shore,” the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

As biologist Vladyslav Balinsky noted on his Facebook page, which is located not far from the scene, he said that one of the men began to be carried into the sea, and four others tried to help him, but also got into trouble.

It is worth noting that this is not the first case in recent times. The USM previously reported that Ukrainian military sailors rescued a man who was swept into the open sea.
