New EU quotas meet Ukrainian export ambitions, — Kachka

The trade agreement with the European Union meets the ambitions of Ukrainian exports for the next three years.

This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Taras Kachka, Interfax-Ukrain reports.

“The agreement will now look like this: we have quotas, but these quotas meet the ambitions of our exports. And this will be enough for the next three years,” he said on the national telethon on October 17.

Earlier, USM reported that Ukraine and the EU had agreed on new terms of trade: more agricultural exports without duties.

The new agreement provides for an increase in the volume of duty-free exports for the main categories of Ukrainian goods, in particular, grains, poultry, honey, dairy products and sugar. At the same time, part of the tariffs that previously applied to Ukrainian imports will be completely abolished.

According to the European Commission, the review of trade conditions was carried out taking into account Ukraine’s economic stability during the war and the importance of stable food supplies to the European market.
