A complex for basing and servicing the ship-boat staff, diving and assault training for the maritime guard of the State Border Service in Odesa will be built.

According to Dumskaya, the  facility design has already begun, but the State Border Service does not disclose the details.

It is known that the new base will be built on the site of the current base of the unit in the Prakticheskaya Harbor. Previously, the incomplete construction of Soviet era was demolished there, in the place of which there will be dockage and other facilities, as well as a training center, etc.

“Various options have been considered before, but now, when we are preparing to receive French-made OCEA patrol ships, things has got rolling,” Natalya Gumenyuk, press secretary of the detachment, told the outlet.
