New Zealand joined the “price ceiling” for Russian oil
On Thursday, February 29, the New Zealand government announced the expansion of sanctions against Russia. In particular, we are talking about price restrictions for Rosneft.
New Zealand’s new sanctions against Russia provide for the introduction of the maximum price set by the G7 countries for oil of Russian origin. This was reported by the press service of the country’s government.
We are also talking about a ban on the export of sanctioned goods to Russia and Belarus through third countries.
Companies involved in the purchase of weapons from North Korea also fell under the restrictions.
It will be recalled that at the end of January, Great Britain sent satellite images to the UN that could prove North Korea’s arms deliveries to Russia. They show three Russian ships being loaded with containers in the restored North Korean port of Najin.
As previously reported by USM, Japan and the G7 countries planned to strengthen the rules on limiting prices for Russian oil imports from February 20.
