“Nibulon” received new grain trailers from USAID

The USAID project “Economic Support of Ukraine” purchased 13 Polish-made MEGA LIGHT 3 grain semi-trailers for the “Nibulon” company.

The carrying capacity of each trailer is 25.5 tons. In general, with the latest new buildings, the company’s fleet consists of 131 cars with grain semi-trailers, which provide an average volume of transportation of 16 million ton-kilometers per month.

“It is expected that one trailer will work up to 140 thousand ton-kilometers per month, which will allow to optimize the economy of grain transportation, because the cost of grain transportation by own vehicles is 20% lower than using the services of external operators,” “Nibulon” noted.

At the same time, the company’s current need for road transportation from ports on the Dnieper to railway stations is 420,000 ton-kilometers per month, and from the ports of Southern Bug to the newly built “Bessarabska” branch – 23.5 million.

“Accordingly, there is potential for an even greater reduction in the cost of logistics. We will remind that before the war, the price of logistics in Ukraine was $20-25/ton. At the beginning of the war, it rose to $150/ton. Now, thanks to the efforts of the defense forces to ensure the operation of Odesa’s deep-sea ports and the support of donors, it was possible to stabilize the price of logistics at the level of about $60/t,” said Mykhailo Rizak, director of interaction with authorities of “Nibulon”.

We previously reported that “Nibulon” cannot retain all the required employees due to the imperfection of the current reservation format.
