Oil company to note charter vessels carrying Rosneft

The largest oil company of the USA, ExxonMobil, refuses the freight of tankers that transported oil from russia.

Exxon Mobil Corp requires shipowners to ensure that russian oil was not transported on the tankers chartered by it. Without appropriate confirmations, Exxon may terminate the charter, according to Bloomberg.

Shell has already taken a similar step — the company prefers vessels that have not carried russian oil in the last three voyages.

The policy of such major market players increases the pressure on shipowners to clearly define their position regarding cooperation with moscow.

It will be recalled that Exxon Mobil Corp left russia after putin confiscated the company’s assets worth $4 billion.
