Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban called for the European market to be closed for Ukrainian agricultural products.
Orban advocated ending the admission of Ukrainian agricultural products to EU markets, reports Magyar Nemzet. Magyar Nemzet.
“The problem for European farmers is that Brussels is setting rules that make production more and more expensive for them,” Hungary’s ruling party “Fidesz” quoted Viktor Orban as saying.
The Prime Minister noted: this also applies to Hungary, but they allow the import of agricultural products into Europe from countries where the same rules do not apply.
“This means that Ukrainian agricultural products should not enter the European market,” Orban stressed.
According to him, nobody listens to the farmers, they feel the distance between them and the decision-makers in Brussels.
We will remind, on February 16, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Solskyi discussed the situation on the border with his Polish colleague. Negotiations will continue this week.
Recently, Polish protesters tried to block another railway crossing point on the border. Polish law enforcement officers prevented this.
