Pivdennyi port is handling 10 vessels at the same time

Ten vessels, including three capesize vessels, are being simultaneously handled in the port of Pivdennyi.
According to the main dispatching office of the Pivdennyi Seaport Authority, after the completion of loading and unloading operations, the cargo turnover in the port will increase by 903.68 thousand tons.
So, now the following vessels are handled in the port:
- Capesize Bacon is being handled at berth №6. 200.3 thousand tons of iron-ore concentrate will be loaded on board;
- Capesize Cape Proteus is being handled at berth №5. 177.14 thousand tons of iron-ore concentrate will be loaded on board;
- Capesize Bulk Northville is being handled at berth №20. 165 thousand tons of iron-ore concentrate will be loaded on board;
- Iron Destiny is being handled at berth №18. 95 thousand tons of steel pellets will be loaded on board;
- Ioli is being handled at berth №22. 78.52 thousand tons of fireclay will be loaded on board;
- Eirini P is being handled at berth №25. 71.5 thousand tons of wheat will be loaded on board;
- CP Shanghai is being handled at berth №34. 59.4 thousand tons of wheat will be loaded on board;
- Mount Hikurangi is being handled at berth №8. 30.19 thousand tons of nickel ore will be unloaded from the vessel;
- Maersk Beaufort is being handled at berth №21. 20.54 thousand tons of sunflower oil will be loaded on board;
- Sea Sprinter is being handled at berth №9. 6.05 thousand tons of rapeseed meal will be loaded on board.
From January to August, the port of Pivdennyi has handled 32.7 million tons of cargo – so far this is 22% less than in the same period last year. Also, during this period, the port has handled 619 vessels, against 824 for the same period in 2020.
