Ports of Great Odesa process more than 900 wagons with grain every day
The volume of average daily unloading of grain in the ports of Great Odesa is currently 931 wagons.
The information was shared by Valerii Tkachov, deputy director of the commercial work department of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”, writes Rail.insider. During the week, the rate of daily unloading of wagons ranges from 900 to 1050 wagons per day.
The number of wagons heading to the ports has also increased. Currently, their number reaches 7,658 units, which is 866 cars higher than last week.
In addition, the queue of wagons with grain in the direction of the port of Izmail increased by 25 units, up to 256 wagons. The unloading rate is 33 wagons, which is 16 units less than a week ago.
According to Tkachev, there are still difficulties in bringing cargo to the ports of Great Odesa and removing empty wagons due to infrastructure limitations. It is about the limited capacity of the Podilsk-Rozdilna-Odesa-Zastava section.
In addition, there is a general increase in cargo flow in the direction of the ports of Great Odesa (agricultural cargo, MMC cargo, and others move at the same time).
