Ports of Great Odesa processed 7 million tons of cargo in August
The total cargo turnover of the Ukrainian maritime corridor in August amounted to 5.9 million tons.
In August, deep-sea ports of Ukraine processed 7 million tons of cargo. This is more than double the indicators for the same period in 2023 (3.3 million tons), USPA reported.
Most grain and ore cargoes were transshipped in August. So, 4 million tons of grain were transported — against 2.3 million tons last year. 1.2 million tons of ores were processed — against 195,000 tons in 2023.
At the same time, cargo turnover of the Ukrainian maritime corridor in August amounted to 5.9 million tons. Among all cargoes, 3.6 million tons are Ukrainian agricultural products.
As USM previously wrote, in the first eight months of 2024, Ukrainian seaports processed almost 67 million tons of cargo. More than 50% of them are products of the agro-industrial complex.
