Ukrainian oil exports fell by half due to the suspension of sea transportation

Due to the halt in sea exports, Ukraine is now exporting about 300,000 tons of oil per month — about half as much as before.
This was reported by Stepan Kapshuk, CEO of the Ukroliyaprom association, NV Business reports.
In August, sunflower oil exports amounted to about 5–7 thousand tons per day. Another 2–3 thousand tons were accounted for by rapeseed and soybean oil.
According to Kapshuk, problems with the export of finished products were the main reason for the drop in purchase prices for sunflower.
The market is also facing a shortage of transport and storage capacity. Ukroliyaprom expects that the logistical problems will be partially resolved within the next two to three weeks.
According to the results of the year, oil production in Ukraine may reach 7 million tons, while domestic consumption is about 300 thousand tons.
