Russia transports weapons by sea, bypassing the Bosphorus — through EU waters
Turkey has stopped allowing ships that can transport military cargo to the Russian Federation through the Bosphorus. Therefore, Russia began to send ships to bypass the strait through the waters of the European Union.
On the morning of March 19, the Russian cargo ship Sparta IV entered the North Sea, “Crimean Wind” reports.
The ship is on its way from Tartus (Syria) to Baltiysk after Turkey refused to allow it through the Bosphorus.
The photo shows the Russian frigate “Admiral Hryhorovych” off the coast of Algeria after escorting the ships “Sparta IV” and “Yaz” from the Mediterranean Sea. The course is probably headed for Tartus, Syria, where the Russian military base is located.
An informant of “Krymskogo Vetra” from Ukrainian intelligence drew attention to the fact that the Russians suddenly began to withdraw “civilian” vessels from the Mediterranean Sea, accompanied by ships. This indicates that valuable illegal cargo is being transported on the ship.
“Sparta IV” and “Yaz” were participants of the so-called “Syrian Express” for the transportation of weapons and ammunition from Syria to Novorossiysk. But at the beginning of March, Turkey stopped letting ships through.
It will be recalled that a month ago, Turkey promised to apply sanctions against Russian vessels heading from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
Note that in exchange for weapons, the Russians unloaded stolen Ukrainian grain in Tartus.
