Scrap metal exports from Ukraine increased by 45%

Over 11 months, scrap metal exports from Ukraine have already increased by 45% – to over 380 thousand tons.

Thus, in January-November, Ukraine increased its exports of ferrous scrap by 45.3% – to 380.16 thousand tons. This is 86 thousand tons more than the figure for the same period in 2024.
Poland remained the main importer this year. Over 11 months, 309.53 thousand tons of scrap were exported to the Polish market – 68.5% of the total export volume.
Another 27.97 thousand tons of scrap were sent to Greece (+7.3% compared to last year’s figures), 8.72 thousand tons – to Bulgaria (+172.3%) and 4.93 thousand tons – to Germany (-22%).
In November, revenue from scrap exports increased by 2.6%, compared to October, to $9.73 million. In January-November, the figure increased by 37.4%, compared to the same period in 2024, to $112.78 million.
Earlier, USM reported that in December, more than 1.5 million tons of grain were exported by rail.
