Sea exports increased by 70.7% in November
During November, Ukraine increased exports and imports by sea and river transport.
Ukrainian exports by sea and river transport in November amounted to 5.905 million tons, which is 70.7% higher than in October. Imports by this type of transport also increased last month — by 8.2%, to 495.2 thousand tons. This was reported by the Minister of Economy Yulia Svyridenko.
During this period, 10.6% more was imported by rail than in October — up to 561.3 thousand tons. At the same time, export by rail transport decreased by 17.9% compared to October — to 2.535 million tons.
Due to the blockade of the border with Ukraine by Polish carriers, the export of motor vehicles last month decreased by 26.7% to 783,000 tons. Meanwhile, imports decreased by 23.5% to 967.1 thousand tons.
In general, the export figure from Ukraine in November increased by 21.2% to 9.232 million tons. At the same time, imports decreased by 6.4% to 2.169 million tons.
