Security guarantees in the Black Sea: Zelenskyy revealed details of the meeting in Turkey

The President of Ukraine said that Turkey could take a serious place in future guarantees for the security of the Black Sea.

This was reported by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, writes Radio Svoboda.

According to him, representatives of Britain, France, Ukraine and Turkey are participating in the meeting.

“A military meeting is taking place in Turkey on the issue of security in the Black Sea. And this concerns primarily the “coalition of the willing” and the corresponding steps. There have already been quite a few such meetings, various formats of the coalition of the willing and able are being discussed regarding security in the Black Sea. In these two days, this is being discussed at the site of our Turkish colleagues. They invited us,” the head of state said during a press conference with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Odesa.

Zelenskyy noted that Turkey could take a serious place in future guarantees for the security of the sea.

“This is not about ending the war, unfortunately. This is about what will happen after the ceasefire. Part of these security guarantees is the contingent, the presence of the military. The issue of the presence of these military in the Black Sea is being discussed now. And this is very important for everyone – for Odessa, for Mykolaiv, for all our cities located on the Black Sea,” the president emphasized.
