Three countries have proposed options for restoring safe navigation in the Black Sea, — Zelenskyy

Egypt, India and Turkey have submitted to Ukraine their proposals on overcoming the blockade of the Black Sea and restoring safe shipping.

This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his speech at the summit of the International Crimean Platform in New York.

According to him, the proposals have already been drawn up in writing, and Ukraine is ready to support the option that will ensure the safety of maritime transportation and food supplies.

“We agree with the path that can ensure security, and now we are waiting for Russia’s response,” Zelenskнy said.

The President noted that Ukraine is ready to fulfill its part of the agreements on safe shipping in the Black Sea if Russia also takes real steps to de-escalate.

According to Zelenskнy, a number of states have already joined the work on protecting food security and sea routes. He emphasized that the stable operation of the Black Sea is important for the transportation of grain, fertilizers, fuel and other cargo.
