Since the beginning of July, almost 512 thousand tons of agricultural products have been exported by rail


In the first week of July, Ukraine exported 511.7 thousand tons of grain cargo by rail, most of which was sent to seaports.

This was discussed during an online meeting of representatives of Ukrzaliznytsia with participants in the agricultural market, writes Rail.insider.

In the seven days of July, the average daily volume of grain loading was 62.2 thousand tons. This is 64% more than in the same period last year, but 27% less than in June.

The total volume of grain cargo transportation in the first week of July was 581.4 thousand tons. The indicator is three times higher than the result of the same period last year, but 16% lower than in June.

Directly, grain exports by rail increased 3.2 times compared to the same period last year. At the same time, compared to June, the volumes decreased by 17%.

The main export destination remains seaports, where 91% of grain cargoes went. Another 9% was transported through western border crossings.

Earlier, the EBA called for reducing the increase in railway tariffs from 30% to 5-10%.
