Since the beginning of November, over 2 million tons of grain cargo have been transported by rail


Over the 25 days of November, the volume of grain transportation by rail for export increased by more than 30%.

In total, 2 million 132 thousand tons of grain cargo were exported by rail. This was discussed during an online meeting of representatives of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”, writes RAIL.insider.

In November, 2 million 299 thousand tons of grain were loaded on the railway network, which is 25% more than in October and 5.2% higher than in October. The average daily load volume for this period was 90.9 thousand tons, which is 17% higher than in October.

The volume of grain transportation also demonstrates growth. Over the 25 days of November, it amounted to 2 million 425 thousand tons. The indicator is 22% higher than in October and 0.8% higher than in November last year. 2 million 132 thousand tons of grain were transported for export. This is 31% more than in October and 1.9% more than in November last year.

The share of grain transportation for export in the direction of ports was 92%, respectively, 8% was transported in the direction of western border crossings.
