Smoke from the fire at the Tuapse Oil Refinery stretched for more than 300 km

The fire at the Tuapse refinery has been going on for several days, and the plume of smoke from burning oil tanks has already reached the Stavropol Territory.

Satellite images from the NASA Worldview service on April 21 recorded a large-scale plume of smoke from the fire at the Tuapse refinery, which stretched for more than 300 km. Radio Liberty writes about this.

Smoke from burning oil tanks reached the Stavropol region. The fact of the fire is also confirmed by data from the NASA fire monitoring system, which records active combustion centers on the territory of the enterprise.

At the same time, local authorities in the Krasnodar Territory say that the fire is still being extinguished.

Recall that the large-scale fire at the Tuapse refinery broke out on the night of April 20 after a drone attack. The blow fell on the enterprise’s tank farm, which is part of a single complex with a sea terminal and plays an important role in the export logistics of Russian petroleum products.
