Ship building and repair plant “Nibulon” can produce 5-6 demining vessels per year for the needs of the State Emergency Service and the State Special Transport Service of Ukraine

The minesweeper group of the Navy of Bulgaria and Romania has started trawling the waters of the Black Sea.

Turkey, Romania and Bulgaria are planning to join forces to clear mines that have fallen into the Black Sea as a result of Russia’s war against Ukraine.

“Nibulon” believes that the next important stage will be the demining of waterways. More than 50% of water areas are already available for demining.

Through Prozorro, Ukraine will launch a market for humanitarian demining services, for which UAH 2 billion has been allocated from the state budget.

The Navy of the Armed Forces of the Ukrainian stated that international cooperation regarding the demining of Ukrainian waters continues and strengthens.

Over 470,000 hectares. agricultural lands are subject to inspection during demining.

Demining the Black Sea is a common challenge for Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey.

Vitaliy Kim, the head of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, said that there are currently no plans to start demining the ports in Mykolaiv Region.

In order to restore safe navigation, it is necessary to clear the territories and water areas of the ports of Mykolaiv Region.
