The appeal commission considered more than 400 complaints of Ukrainian sailors
During the year of operation of the permanently active appeals commission of the Shipping Administration, more than 400 seafarers’ complaints were considered.
Most often (88%) Ukrainian sailors submit complaints in electronic form through the “Diya” portal, others (12%) – in paper format, the head of the Shipping Administration, evgenii Ignatenko, said.
According to him, the appeals commission establishes the objectivity of decisions on refusal to issue a qualification document or confirmation of a professional diploma or certificate of competence or on compliance with the procedure for conducting a computer exam.
“A seafarer can file a complaint in person, by mail, through a representative, or online through the “Diya” portal within 30 calendar days from the day he receives the decision to refuse to issue a qualification document or conduct a computer exam. The complaint is considered within 10 working days from the day of its registration,” the message reads.
