On Tuesday, June 6, the auction for the privatization of the property complex of SE “Bilhorod-Dniester Sea Trade Port” was not held due to the lack of participants. The next attempt is scheduled for June 14, the State Property Fund of Ukraine in the Odesa region reports.
The starting price of the auction was UAH 184.9 million. On the next attempt, it was reduced to UAH 92.4 million.
We will remind, this was supposed to be the third attempt to privatize the Bilhorod-Dniester port. The first auction was supposed to take place on March 3, but no one applied for participation. The second auction took place on March 13, but the winner did not pay for the lot.
As previously reported by USM, the port needs investment and modernization to start full operation. This is possible only thanks to the involvement of a private investor.
