The Cabinet of Ministers has expanded the boundaries of the water areas of three ports on the Danube
The Cabinet of Ministers decided to expand the boundaries of the water areas of the sea ports of Izmail, Reni and Ust-Dunaisk.
It is necessary to expand the borders of the three ports on the Danube to ensure their stable functioning in the conditions of martial law, reports Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.
For this, amendments were made to the annexes to the resolutions of the CMU dated 07.10.2009 No. 1208 “On the boundaries of the water area of the Izmail sea port”, from 07.10.2009 No. 1234 “On the boundaries of the water area of the Reni sea port” and from 07.10.2009 No. 1274 “On the boundaries of the water area of the sea port port of Ust-Dunaisk”.
“We managed to increase the cargo turnover of these ports from 30,000 tons per month to 1.7 million tons. More than 50 times. And this is not the limit. We see that there are up to a hundred vessels in queues to enter these ports, so we are working on expanding their capacity. The Government’s decision is aimed precisely at this,” said Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal.
