The crew of the Ukrainian cargo ship attacked by the Houthis left the vessel
Sailors from the ship “Verbena”, which was hit by the Yemeni Houthis the day before, successfully left the ship.
On June 15, the crew of the Ukrainian cargo ship “Verbena” left the ship after being hit by Houthi cruise missiles. This was reported in the US Central Command.
This decision was taken due to the inability to control the fire caused by the attack of Yemeni militants. Before leaving the ship, the sailors gave a distress call, which was responded to by the Anna Meta. The Anna Meta crew found the sailors and are transporting them to safety.
It will be recalled that on June 13, in the Gulf of Aden, the Houthis attacked the cargo ship “Verbena” under the flag of Palau with two missiles. The vessel belongs to a company from Ukraine and is operated by a Polish company. As a result of the attack, the American sailor was seriously injured
