The Defense Intelligence has identified 38 more vessels that Russia uses to circumvent sanctions

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense has identified 38 more vessels that Russia uses to circumvent international sanctions. The Defense Intelligence reported this on Facebook.

The vessels fly the flags of Barbados, Russia, Cameroon, Panama, Belize, Liberia, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Tanzania, Sao Tome and Principe, Hong Kong and Palau.

Of the 38 vessels, 28 are directly involved in the export of Russian oil, petroleum products and liquefied gas. They also bunker sanctioned tankers of the “shadow fleet” and participate in the export of stolen Ukrainian grain from the occupied territories. All of these vessels are already under sanctions by the US, the UK, the EU and Ukraine.

Another 10 unsanctioned oil tankers operate in two directions: they deliver Russian oil to world markets and supply gasoline and diesel fuel to the Russian Federation. This supports the Kremlin’s military logistics in conditions of fuel shortage.

Earlier, the GUR published the names of 11 captains who provided navigation and delivery of imported fuel to Russia.

“The publication of their names destroys the myth that shadow logistics can remain anonymous. This is a clear warning to every sailor: participation in helping the aggressor will not go unnoticed. Such activities have consequences – in particular, for the reputation and security of those involved in it,” the intelligence service emphasized.

The GUR emphasized that every ship, captain and company that helps Russia trade oil, export stolen grain or import fuel become instruments of Russian aggression.

Also, the day before, USM wrote that the US could impose tariffs of up to 100% against major buyers of Russian oil.
