The eighth armored cutter for the Ukrainian Navy was launched in Kyiv

The eighth small armored artillery cutter of the Project 58155 was launched at the capital’s Kuznya na Rybalskomu plant.

The ceremony took place in Kyiv on September 30th. The cutter began to be built in 2019, but work was suspended in December last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The construction of the Project 58503 Kentavr-LK assault cutter has also stopped. The production process resumed only in July 2021.

River armored cutters of Project 58150 are a type of river artillery cutters of Ukrainian design. The project code is “Gyurza”. Armored cutters are designed to carry out a watch on border rivers, lakes, as well as in the coastal sea zone.
