The enemy is shelling Zmiinyi to create tension around the sea routes

The Southern Defense Forces reported that two Russian submarine missile carriers are on combat duty in the Black Sea and explained why the enemy is shelling the Zmiinyi Island.

At present, in the Black Sea, the ship group of the enemy fleet is brought to the base points due to a strong storm. However, there are two enemy submarine missile carriers in the sea, equipped with up to eight Kalibr missiles. They continue combat duty and keep the missile threat level quite high.

In general, the operational situation in the area of responsibility of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine remains “stable tense”.

“Last night, the enemy carried out two airstrikes using 10 guided air bombs on populated areas of Beryslav district and in the area of Zmiiny Island, thereby continuing to create tension around sea transport routes and terrorizing the civilian population of the right bank,” the military said.
