The first million tons of grain were shipped from the ports of Odesa Region in 2023


As part of the “Grain Initiative”, 11 ships left the ports of Great Odesa today. Three of them are heading to African countries.

On Friday, January 13, 11 ships with 313.5 thousand tons of agricultural products left the ports of Great Odesa. Three vessels are heading to African countries, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine reports.

The bulk carrier Lady Litel is transporting 31,000 tons of wheat to Libya, the bulk carrier East Wind 1 — 25,000 tons to Tunisia, and the bulk carrier Lady Hatice — 11,000 tons of food to Morocco.

The port of Chornomorsk moored the bulk carrier Antheia, which was chartered by the UN World Food Program for the delivery of Ukrainian wheat to Afghanistan.

Currently, there are 17 ships under processing in the ports of Odesa. 519,000 tons of Ukrainian agricultural products are loaded onto them.

Another 5 vessels are moving along the “grain corridor” for loading. In the Bosphorus, 104 vessels are waiting for inspection by the Joint Coordination Center.
