The fleet of grain trucks in Ukraine has increased

In September, the total fleet of grain trucks and fitting platforms increased in Ukraine.
The number of grain trucks increased the most — by 165 units. Currently, there are almost 32,000 units of this rolling stock in Ukraine, more than 60% of which are private, reports Rail.insider.
The number of fitting platforms for the transportation of large-tonnage containers has also increased — there are more than 5,000 of them.
Recently, the fleet of private grain trucks and platforms began to grow sharply, mostly due to the construction of new wagons at Ukraine’s own wagon-building facilities.
Also, although at a slower pace, the construction of semi-cars and tanks is currently underway. In September, a reduction in the fleet of these types of wagons was observed due to the fact that their owners are getting rid of the old rolling stock of the non-working fleet.
