The invaders have intensified military logistics through the port of Mariupol

In the occupied territory of Mariupol, an increase in military activity has been recorded, in particular, the involvement of maritime and railway infrastructure.

According to the Center for the Study of the Occupation, over the past week, there has been an intensification of logistical processes by Russian troops in Mariupol. This was reported by the Mariupol City Council.

In particular, this concerns traffic at the railway station, activity in the port, and the development of road transport infrastructure in the southern direction.

The arrival of new freight cars has been recorded at the city’s railway station, which, according to a preliminary assessment, can transport ammunition. Part of the cargo has been unloaded and temporarily placed on the territory of the former fish factory – one of the logistics facilities used by the occupation forces.

According to the city council, a ship has been spotted in the port of Mariupol, which probably delivered military cargo. The beginning of work on clearing the fairway has also been recorded, which may indicate preparation for receiving vessels with a larger deadweight.

In addition, a large-scale expansion of the Mariupol-Melitopol highway section is being recorded in the south. According to local sources, the Russian occupation administrations are expanding the road to four lanes on a section over 30 km long.

The highway bypasses Mariupol and Mangush and ends at the border of the temporarily occupied parts of the Donetsk and Zaporizhia regions. In Russian documents, it appears as part of the so-called federal highway R-280 “Novorossiya”.

Recently, USM wrote that the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev personally organized the mass theft of grain from the temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine.
