The line of wagons at the borders of Ukraine has decreased to 19 thousands
As of January 4, the queue in the direction of the border crossings of Ukraine amounted to 19,459 thousand wagons, of which more than 6 thousand are grain wagons.
Such data were announced during another online meeting of Ukrzaliznytsia with participants of the agricultural transport market, reports Rail.insider.
“The dynamic is positive in our turn. Today, if on average, the queue is only 12 days,” said Valery Tkachov, Deputy Director of the Department of Commercial Work of Ukrzaliznytsia.
At the same time, he recalled that at the beginning of December last year, the total queue was more than 22,000 cars, and at the end of the month – 21,000. At the beginning of January, the queue continued to shorten.
“At the same time, problematic connections remain. This is, in particular, Batyovo – Epereshki. There is a queue for almost a month. Therefore, I call on shippers to reduce the load in the direction of this crossing,” Tkachev said.
There are also long, compared to others, queues at the Chop – Chierna nad Tisou and Djakove – Halmeu crossings.
