The Ministry of Defense has begun testing “marine” bulletproof vests

Domestic and foreign developers joined the creation of special modular body armor for the Navy and the engineering forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Tests of special modular body armor for military sailors have begun in Ukraine. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The peculiarity of the equipment is that when it comes into contact with water, the special module reacts, and the bulletproof vest works as a rescue.

“The Ministry of Defense received a request for the development of such a special module for body armor. The main task is to protect the lives of servicemen on the water. After all, we understand how much weight a fighter carries, especially when it comes to special forces,” Deputy Defense Minister Vitaly Polovenko said.

The new floating module is being developed by the Central Department for the Development of Material Support of the Armed Forces. Both foreign and domestic developers were involved in its creation. It is planned that such modules can be used on all approved models of body armor of the Armed Forces.

The day before in Odesa, almost 40 divers of the State Emergency Service tested the latest equipment.

Previously, USM wrote that the CIA helped Ukraine in the development of naval drones.
