The new government of Hungary has banned the import of agricultural products from Ukraine

The new Prime Minister of Hungary, Peter Magyar, announced that the government is banning the import of agricultural products from Ukraine.

Peter Magyar wrote about this on the social network X.

“The government has withdrawn Hungary’s intention to withdraw from the International Criminal Court and has banned the import of agricultural products from Ukraine,” the report says.

Earlier, USM reported that Hungary did not extend the ban on grain imports from Ukraine. Decree 130/2023, which banned the import of more than 20 categories of Ukrainian agricultural products into Hungary from 2023, expired on May 14. This was an emergency decree, and the new Hungarian government ended the state of emergency on May 13.

However, after that, the Hungarian farmers’ union MAGOSZ appealed to the government with a demand to urgently renew the ban through law.
