The Port of Chornomorsk was the first to accept a liner container ship

The first among the ports of Great Odesa, the State Enterprise “MTP “Chornomorsk”” accepted a linear container ship.
As reported by the press service of the port, the MTP “Chornomorsk” became the first among all the ports of Great Odesa to accept a linear container ship, and remains the only state port that currently processes container cargo.
On July 16, the port set a record for processing loaded containers during one call — 470 containers.
“In wartime conditions, ensuring linear container traffic is a contribution not only to the economy, but also to the stability of the state. This is support for Ukrainian business, farmers, manufacturers, exporters. And our team is proud that Chornomorsk is the first to resume such work among the ports of Great Odesa,” the port management notes.
Over the past 12 months, the port has processed more than 18 thousand TEU. The port is preparing to increase transshipment volumes and is working to expand areas of cooperation.
USM previously reported that the Chornomorsk Port will hold an auction for cargo transshipment for the first time.
