The ports of Odesa region will be explored for further dredging
The French company Neo-Eco and its division Neo-Eco Ukraine will carry out the research of the ports.
This was announced by the director of Neo Eco Ukraine, Bart Gruer, writes Interfax-Ukraine.
According to him, the project was commissioned by the Odesa Regional State Administration. The initiative will focus on the reclamation of river and marine sediments.
“The project will be aimed at determining strategic dredging operations to support the capacities of the Odesa region’s ports, assessing the volume, qualifying rainfall and starting valorization on the ground. This project can improve the economic capacity of ports and help Ukraine get closer to the EU standards for sediment and waste management,” said Bart Gruer.
The research budget is EUR 80,000. The first results are planned to be published in September 2024.
