The resumption of port operations is among the priorities of the Ministry of Infrastructure for 2026-2027

The restoration of port operations is among the key tasks of the Ministry of Reconstruction, Infrastructure and Transport for 2026-2027.
This was announced by Minister Mykola Kalashnyk following the meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Transport and Infrastructure.
According to him, the main priority remains ensuring the operation of transport infrastructure in the face of Russian attacks.
Among the main tasks are the restoration of port operations, maintaining rail connections, maintaining highways for military and economic logistics, as well as ensuring the throughput capacity of the border and checkpoints.
Separately, the meeting discussed the implementation of plans for the sustainability of the transport system and large infrastructure projects.
According to Kalashnyk, one of the key issues will also be the financing of these measures in the state budget for 2027.
In addition, the ministry presented a number of legislative initiatives in the field of rail and road transportation, development of border infrastructure and reconstruction, which will require parliamentary support.
