Minimum export prices blocked customs clearance of wheat, — APK-Inform

The demand prices for food wheat of grades 2 and 3 have decreased to $170–178 and $167–175/t CPT-port, respectively.
In Ukrainian ports of the Danube, purchase prices for food wheat are decreasing. This is reported by the APK-Inform Agency.
The main pressure is created by critically complex logistics due to attacks on the ports of the Odessa region. The reorientation of cargo to the Danube and the western borders has significantly increased the cost of transportation and extended flights.
The situation was worsened by the regulatory increase in minimum export prices. It exceeded the real market level and actually blocked customs clearance.
An additional factor is a significant supply of the new crop in conditions of a slowdown in exports. Wheat is accumulating inside the country, and processors are buying only limited volumes of high-quality grain due to the lack of demand for feed.
As of September 16, the demand prices for food grade 2 wheat in Danube ports are $170–178/t CPT-port, grade 3 — $167–175/t. This is $2–4/t less than at the end of last week.
At the same time, on the basis of DAP-Constanta, prices for grade 3 wheat have changed in different directions and are currently being announced mainly in the range of $247–257/t.
The day before, USM wrote that the European Commission refused to increase the quota for the import of Ukrainian wheat.
