A Romanian barge with 860 tons of wheat sank this morning, February 4, in the port of Reni.
During loading operations, water began to enter the engine room, the owner of the barge told the Romanian publication Stirile.
Five Romanian sailors escaped, but could not do anything to prevent the sinking of the barge, the publication notes.
The vessel belongs to an unnamed Romanian company based in Constanta.
