The Russians engaged another vessel for grain theft

The bulk carrier “Grumant” became another vessel that the Russians use to steal Ukrainian agricultural products.

Kateryna Yaresko, a journalist of the SeaKrime project “Peacemaker Center”, told about this.

According to her, since February 2024, the ship made four flights from occupied Sevastopol to the Syrian ports of Tartus and Latakia.

A total of 78,558 tons of Ukrainian wheat was transported on board.

The sender of the grain is the “Pallada” company, in Syria the grain is received by a state-owned Syrian company.

“This means that the maritime authorities of Turkey allow violations on the part of the crew and the shipowner, and therefore cooperate with the thief of Ukrainian grain,” the investigation says.

We will remind, at the end of the summer, Ukraine will launch a grain theft detection system.

In Ukraine and Great Britain, the formation of a comparative database of samples of Ukrainian agricultural products is already being completed.
