The share of grain going to ports by rail increased to 95% in August

Ukrainian Railways has sharply increased the transportation of agricultural products: almost all export grain cargo is headed to seaports.
In the first 19 days of August, 1.624 million tons of grain cargo were transported by rail. This is reported Rail.insider with reference to a meeting of Ukrzaliznytsia with agricultural traders.
This is 2.8 times more than in July, although 15% less than in the same period last year. The largest increase is observed in the export segment: 1.483 million tons of grain were sent to foreign markets. This is three times higher than the July figures, but 14% lower than last year’s level.
It is indicative that almost all of this volume (95%) is headed to seaports, while domestic transportation accounts for a minimal share.
Average daily loads also demonstrate the dynamics of recovery: in August they increased 2.2 times compared to July and reached 88.2 thousand tons.
Also, the day before, USM reported that Russia is dumping on the grain market in order to increase pressure on competitors.
