A bulk carrier heading from Ukraine ran aground in the Bosphorus. Vessel traffic through the strait was temporarily suspended.
The bulk carrier MKK 1 was on its way from the Port of South to Istanbul, according to MarineTraffic data.
Presumably, the vessel was loaded with Ukrainian grain.
Bulk ncarrier ran aground on the night of January 16. As of 9:30 a.m., the ship is still in the Bosphorus.
As a result of the accident, traffic through the channel was temporarily suspended.
