The Alexis ship, which was going from the Southern port to Egypt, ran aground in the Bosphorus Strait.

CNN Turk writes about it.

The Directorate General for Coastal Safety said the 229-metre-long dry cargo vessel Alexis ran aground due to a malfunction. The bulk carrier’s engine failed.

Bosphorus traffic has been temporarily suspended in both directions while the rescue operation continues.

We will remind you that this is the second accident in the Bosphorus in recent days. On Monday, May 6, the Bosphorus Strait was closed due to an accident involving  “Brabus” vessel that lost its rudder.
