The Shipping Administration has stopped registering vessels older than 35 years.
Ukraine has banned the registration of seagoing vessels and inland waterway vessels aged 35 years and over.
Starting in 2025, registration of seagoing vessels and inland waterway vessels aged 35 years and over in the State Ship Register of Ukraine is prohibited, the Shipping Administration reported.
Also, a ban on registering vessels in the State Ship Register of Ukraine is imposed on:
• oil tankers that do not meet the requirements for a double hull or equivalent design, as well as oil tankers aged 25 years and over after the date of delivery of the vessel;
• vessels that were detained in seaports by port state control inspectors during control more than three times during the last 36 months, immediately before submitting an application for registration in the State Shipping Register of Ukraine.
Earlier, USM reported that the State Hydrography and the Shipping Register paid more than UAH 160 million to the state budget.
