Large-scale training of employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, in particular the Delta special unit, took place in Cherkasy.
This was reported by Ukrinform.
“We are at the training of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. And today these trainings are a step towards preparing not only for winter, but also for repelling the enemy at civilian and critical infrastructure facilities,” said the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko.

In particular, during the trainings, they practiced responding to a number of situations: conducting aerial radiation monitoring, conducting a search and rescue operation on a vessel damaged by debris, evacuating people aboard a helicopter; emergency aeromedical evacuation of a wounded person from a vessel, etc.

Also, conditional situations were practiced, such as extinguishing a fire on a ship or island, rescuing victims from the water, searching for victims in the search and rescue operation area, transporting a conditionally damaged helicopter on an external suspension, and others.

Various equipment was used in the exercises, namely: French SuperPuma helicopters, which are used, among other things, for extinguishing fires; jet skis; rescue craft; boats with fire crews; fire carriage barrels and fire motor pumps; drones, a special boat for transporting explosive objects.
